WHERE: East Hampton High School Parking Lot in front of the school

WHEN: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 Noon until 1 pm  

WHAT: 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches per child will be available Monday, Wednesday and 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches on Friday

The child does not need to be in the car with you at pickup.

HOW: Drive up to the distribution area in the front High School Parking Lot, grab 1 bag of breakfasts and 1 bag of lunches per child

DETAILS: No sign up necessary but if you are interested in participating, please go to https://forms.gle/pqbsYa7VVNo8xWyi8 to help us get a head count.

Good nutrition is essential to the health and success of our students and staff. All meals, food items, and beverages sold or served at East Hampton Schools exceed state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. For our students, East Hampton provides nutritious meals that meet the regulations contained in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 as well as updated meal pattern requirements and nutrition standards as promulgated by the USDA National School Lunch and Breakfast Program and the Connecticut Department of Education’s School Nutrition Program. For parents, the program offers a convenient method of providing a nutritionally balanced breakfast and lunch at the lowest price possible. The East Hampton program’s goal is to operate a financially self-sustaining department while promoting health and wellness within our school community where our parents, children, and staff can be enriched and enjoy excellent customer service.

Applying for SNAP Benefits (Addendum C)During this difficult time, many households may be experiencing hardships due to the loss of a job or income, and they may now be eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. SNAP helps people buy food for themselves and their families. Additionally, eligibility for SNAP benefits means that a child will be directly certified for free meals, which will carry over for 30 operating days into the next school year.
