26 students out of all the District French students that participated in the annual National French Contest sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French were recognized at this week's Board of Education meeting for their outstanding rankings in the national exam.
Out of 17 Middle School students, the 12 students receiving an Honorable Mention were: Gabriella Cooke, Brody Ghagan, Julian Gouthro, Aloma Johnson, Lily LaPlant, Logan Matte, Riley Millett, Samuel Morales-Rivera, Aoife Pont, Tristan Robinson, Mckayla Wanat, Donzel Williams. Bronze Award winners were Samuel D'Amore and Shannon Mahoney, Silver Award winners were Elsie Kovitch and Lachlan Plante. A Gold Award went to Aehan Amith.
At the High School Marian Andoh, Gabriel Finn, Eli Kloepfer, Mineth Kulatunga, Brenna Mai, Travis Raines, Juliana Ware and Zoey Wilks all received an Honorable Mention, and a Bronze Award went to Owen Fielding.
A big thank you goes out to our French teachers Marianna Wikarska (High School) and Kristen Michalak (Middle School) for offering our students the opportunity to participate in this national contest.
