Today we celebrated the first quarter with PBIS activities. The students had the opportunity to play volleyball, listen to music, do crafts, go on a virtual nature walk or watch a movie. Good job to all the students for having a great first quarter!

Unit 1 of Second Step focused on creating a goal, writing a goal, and creating an action plan. Today, students put those skills to the test with the Marshmallow Challenge. After planning with a group, they had 10 minutes to build the tallest tower by using 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 marshmallow, 2 feet of string, and 1 foot of tape. After ten minutes, students reflected on their original plan. Students did a fabulous job working together, problem solving, and reflecting. Some of the towers were over 3 feet tall! Great job to all students!
