Students painting chalk murals for 9/11 memorial

On Friday, September 10th, between 8:31 and 9:23 am, Mrs. Keska's AP Government Class headed outside to create many chalk murals as a memorial to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.  As the students drew out their meaningful images and messages, Mrs. Keska narrated the timeline of the attack: 8:46 first plane crashes into World Trade Center; at 9:03 she announces the second plane crashes, and reminds students that in less than an hour the first tower would collapse.   This is a different way to learn about history for students that were not yet born in 2001.
