Midterm Exams are scheduled for this week (Jan. 18 & 19 and next week Jan. 22 & 23.)
Please come prepared for exams having had a good night's sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a charged Chromebook if required.
General information:
- Bus transportation to school will run at the regular time in the morning. Buses will dismiss from the high school at 11:20 a.m. for each of the designated exam days.
- Seniors should consult the Student Handbook to review the Final Exam (for Semester Courses) policy regarding exemptions.
- If your child is ill on the day of the exam, please call the school prior to 7:30 a.m. on that day to excuse the absence. Due to the busy nature of the office in the early hours, please leave a voicemail if you are unable to connect with a member of the main office staff. (See below for make-up exam information).
- Once exams have begun, students who are late will not be permitted entrance to their exam room. For students with unexcused tardies, a make-up exam will not be permitted.
- The cafeteria will be open for quiet study each day from 7:30—11:15 a.m.
During exams:
- All students are to remain in the exam room the entire session. If a student completes an exam early they may study for an upcoming exam or should bring something to read.
- Aside from Chromebooks, use of electronic devices will not be permitted in exam rooms without the expressed permission of the teacher.
Make-up exams:
- Parents/guardians seeking approval for their child to make up an exam should contact Assistant Principal Jackie Russell. Make-up exams will be administered at a later date for those students with an excused absence from their regularly scheduled exam and who have received prior approval by administration.
