Coastal Connecticut Connections Program

We are excited to have been given the opportunity to work alongside students from Hartford's University High School of Science and Engineering as both schools collaborate on the Coastal Connecticut Connections program.  During the next two months, classes from the two high schools will work together in small research teams of 4-6 students for classroom, laboratory, and field activities.  Students and teachers will get together five times in the program and will have the chance to utilize sophisticated oceanographic technology in their pursuit of understanding the nature of coastal marine environments. Student teams will board Project Oceanology's research vessel to collect, examine and record marine life as well as measure water conditions in Long Island Sound. It is an extraordinary opportunity that we feel fortunate to have been afforded.
