At the first East Hampton Public Schools' Board of Education meeting of the new school year, the board had the opportunity to formally thank Mr. Matt Warner for his 14 years of service in the East Hampton school district, and wish him well as he sets out in his new role of Principal at Coginchaug Regional High School. Stepping into the role of Interim Assistant Principal at East Hampton High School, a vacancy left by Mr. Warner's departure, is Mrs. Jackie Russell. A 22 year veteran of education, with 15 of these as a Special Education teacher at East Hampton High School, Mrs. Russell brings with her a wealth of experience. Prior to becoming interim assistant principal, Mrs. Russell demonstrated leadership as Support Services Team Leader, NEASC Committee Co-Chair, NEASC visiting committee member, TEAM mentor, School Climate and Safety Committee member, Covid- 19 Re-opening Committee, as well as coach and advisor for many clubs and activities.
