The Mathematics Department offers a comprehensive selection of courses. All math courses stress proficiency in skills and comprehension of abstract ideas and concepts. Math is not presented as an isolated discipline, but one which is an integral part of a global society and students are encouraged to become active learners in their pursuit of mathematical knowledge. Technology is utilized throughout all math courses, most often in the use of the TI-83/84 graphing calculator. The mathematics department strives to assist students to become innovative thinkers who will effectively use and interpret quantitative information through problem solving in real world contexts.
