Thank you for visiting the East Hampton Public School District Budget Process Page.  In an effort to make the Education Budget as transparent as possible we have included links to presentations and documents that occurred during the budget planning phase on the left side of this page.

Thank you for supporting the budget and the children of East Hampton! We are excited to move ahead, providing strong educational programs throughout our four schools.

Budget Request Public Forum at the Board of Education Meeting 6:30 pm at East Hampton High School T-Bell.

Faculty, staff, student, parents, and members of the community are welcome to express support for budget items or programming to be included in the 2021-22 Budget.

This year, it is not necessary for teachers, parents, or students to attend the meeting in personas written requests for budget items or programming may be submitted to the Board.

School Budget requests due to Principal including the following two forms:

Budget Highlight:  Proposal/Special Request Form
The Budget Highlight form should be used to request any new program, new texts, new equipment, or new staffing.  It may be filled out by any staff member and submitted to the appropriate supervisor (team leader or department head) who typically assembles the grade level or department budget to be presented to the Principal.  This form is not meant to circumvent the typical budget procedure or process in any building or department.  Staff members completing this form should do so in cooperation with the department or Principal.

Staff members are invited to express support for new budget items or programming in person or in writing at the November 9 Board of Education meeting.  All requests made at that Board meeting require a Budget Highlight form to be submitted for consideration.

This form can be filled out electronically and should be kept concise.  Limit comments to one page. There is no need to include back up; however, detailed costs should be included.

 Club & Stipend Request
The Club and Stipend Request form should be used when a new stipend is being requested or an enhancement to an existing stipend is being requested.  This form was developed in an agreement between the Board and the East Hampton Education Association as stipends are negotiated as part of the teachers’ contract.  This form is not for new full time or part time teaching positions or staffing positions.  The form is only for stipend positions.  Requests filled out on this form do not need to be duplicated on the first form.

Principals’ School Budgets are due to the Superintendent of Schools

Copies of all Forms 1 and 2, packaged in priority order along with line item funding requests are due at the Central Office.
