Wellness Day Presenter Art Miller

Last Thursday the staff and students of East Hampton High School dedicated a whole day to Wellness, and the different forms that might look like for folks. Staff and students shared their unique activities that help them to relax when stressed or topics that are just a passion for them in many break-out sessions.

A huge shout out goes to all the visiting presenters both human and canine, as well EH Youth & Family - James Olsen – for helping to organize the event with help from YFS support staff Laura, Erica, & Roxanne.

From Project Courage - Ben Johnson shared his story of substance abuse and its consequences in the Keynote address & 21st Century Addictions in the panel discussions.  Additional presenters in the panel discussions were: Lucas LarCheveque on Inclusiveness & Acceptance; Daniel Reynolds on Substance Abuse by sharing his personal story; KC Hespeler on Mental Health & Anxiety; from Center for Discovery Capri, Kelsey, & Carrina on Self-Esteem & Body Image, Paul Secker from Natchaug Hospital on Stress & Academic Burnout, and last but not least, Deacon Art Miller, shared a poignant, personal and public perspective on Racism.
