The CollegeBoard’s Advanced Placement Program provides an avenue for students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. Depending on the results of their AP Exams, students may earn credit for college. The number of exams students take may also qualify them for various levels of AP Scholar Recognition.

As highlighted in the recent Superintendent Update: The Connecticut State University System - the 4 state universities (Eastern, Central, Southern, and Western) and all 12 of the community colleges, recently passed a uniform AP credit policy, meaning that they will now offer academic credit for AP scores of “3” and higher on the AP exams. Students who take AP courses in high school have the potential to earn up to one semester of college credit while in high school.

New courses at East Hampton High School (proposed in the 2019-20 budget) include: AP Physics, AP Computer Science, and AP Music Theory. Current courses include AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP U.S. History,
AP U.S. Government, AP Psychology, and AP Studio Art.

Testing at EHHS will take place from May 6th through May 17th.  Students need to be on time for the 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. start times.  Please make sure you get a good night's rest and have a nutritious breakfast prior to your exam.  Best of luck to all our AP Students! You have worked hard to get here and we have every confidence that you will do well.
