Summer Reading

Summer is almost here! In an effort to keep kids learning over the next few months we are encouraging students to participate in the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge. You will find the links to the Intermediate and Teen Nutmeg Nominees for 2019 listed below. Also, included are some suggested titles from the Governor's program and the student recording sheet. In September, students can submit their reading log to their reading teacher to qualify to participate in our Reading celebration at the beginning of the year!

Math Summer Challenge

The following is an informational packet on the Summer Math Challenge issued by the Connecticut State Department of Education. It is an optional challenge for students; however, we feel that practicing math concepts throughout the summer will be beneficial in remembering concepts, improving their performance, and preparing your child for the next school year.
Any student that submits all badges and gives their certificate to their math teacher on the first week of school will be given a reward by the Math Department.
Enjoy your summer!
