Board of Education - Position Open

East Hampton Board of Education Chair, Christopher Goff announced the resignation of Kenneth Barber from the East Hampton Board of Education on Monday evening, May 15 at the regular business meeting of the Board.  The resignation was received by the Town Clerk on the afternoon of May 15 and is effective immediately.

 Community members who wish to nominate themselves to fill the vacancy through November 2019 should contact the Superintendent of Schools, Paul K. Smith at psmith@easthamptonct.org or call 860-365-4000.  The Board of Education per bylaw is obligated to consider filling the vacancy with someone of the same political party (Democrat), but is not required to do so. 

 The Board of Education is accepting nominations through Friday, May 26 and will hold interviews on the evening of Tuesday, May 30.
